Learning Outcomes of the Program

  1. Defines the cognitive, psycho-social, spiritual and physical characteristics of preschool children.
  2. Knows the characteristics of the families of preschool children, their needs in the fields of nutrition, health and education.
  3. Defines and explains the basic concepts of development, learning and education for preschool children.
  4. Defines Turkish National Education system, teaching profession and educational sciences in all aspects.
  5. Describes the teacher's guidance tasks and ways to get to know the child.
  6. Explains the positive and negative effects of mass media on preschool children.
  7. Carries out family education and involvement studies.
  8. Carries out plans considering the developmental characteristics, individual differences, interests and needs of preschool children.
  9. Makes the necessary arrangements in the physical and educational environments of preschool education institutions.
  10. Applies the methods used in evaluating preschool children.
  11. Applies the responsibilities (against herself/himself and families) for the preparation of the preschool child for primary education.
  12. Follows the developments in preschool period.
  13. Has basic skills in the fields such as statistics, measurement, evaluation, and technology use in order to conduct scientific studies in preschool education.
  14. Uses appropriate methods and techniques for critical and creative thinking and problem-solving skills of preschool children.
  15. Uses effective classroom management skills, takes responsibility individually and as a team member to solve unforeseen problems.
  16. Makes necessary adaptations in the educational environment to meet the developmental characteristics and educational needs of children with special needs.
  17. Chooses, designs, converts and uses educational materials suitable for the developmental characteristics of preschool children.
