Grading Scheme

The dates of success evaluation elements such as midterm exam, quiz, homework, seminar within the semester are determined by the lecturer who teaches the course; Midterm exam dates are announced to students within the first two weeks of the semester. The schedule of the final and make-up exams is determined by the relevant board of directors and announced at least two weeks before the exams begin. Exams must be made in writing, but if necessary, the lecturer may decide to conduct the exam in the form of oral, homework or projects, provided that the lecturer specifies the course information form. The exam organizes and manages the lecturer. In case of absence, the head of the relevant department decides who will do the exam. No make-up exams are held for final and make-up exams.

The success evaluation criteria for the courses to be opened are announced on the course information form by the relevant faculty member within the first weekend of each semester. Grade of a course, except (EX) grade; mid-term exams, quizzes, fieldwork, practice, homework, projects, workshops, seminars, attendance, laboratory, internship and similar semester studies and final or make-up exams of that course are determined by calculating according to success evaluation criteria. However, the contribution of the final and make-up exam to the success grade cannot be less than 40% and more than 60%.

For each course, one of the following letter grades is appreciated by the lecturer as a success grade:
